Southeast Indiana Health Center located in Batesville, which began seeing patients earlier this month, provides free health care to medically uninsured residents of Franklin and Ripley counties.

The clinic offers a variety of services including primary and preventative care, chronic illness care, mental health services, women’s health, and some lab services. Health education, specialty referrals, and limited pharmacy services are also offered at the clinic.

The Southeast Indiana Health Center received a Family Medicine Cares USA grant from the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) Foundation.

Over the years, staff from the Volunteers in Medicine national office has assisted more than 100 communities through the clinic development process and today, 94 of those clinics continue to be part of the VIM Alliance.
