Founder of VIM Clinic in Eugene, OR Receives Honors
Eugene, OR - Sister Monica Heeran was awarded the first Community Star Award from Mercedes Benz of Eugene.
The award was created to honor community leaders whose dedication to high standards and selfless service make significant differences in the community.
Mercedes Benz of Eugene says Sister Monica’s energy and drive were instrumental in the growth of PeaceHealth during the 1990s.
Sister Monica is a Catholic nun and a member of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace, the order which created the PeaceHealth organization.
After retiring, Sister Monica Heeran went on to found the Volunteers in Medicine clinic in Eugene, which provides medical service for 10,000 patient visits a year.
